Sir W. Peel's telegram of the 11th shoving
that his despatch is on the way rather alters the
instructions you gave me as to a private letter to him, but I presume you will still wish to write in
order to make the point about the Secretariat

interpreters in general. Mr. Chapman tells me that,
when Protector in Singapore, he found it much
better to deal with girls without an interpreter.
